Happy Thanksgiving to all my US Readers….
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydHappy Thanksgiving to all my US readers, I hope you have a really fun filled awesome day with your family and friends.
Check back tomorrow for a Black Friday sale in my shop and check out my Facebook also for another great offer….. here is today’s freebie, it is a cluster…..
Tonight we are off to our pub quiz again, we have our voucher we won last week so we should get a free drink each which is nice…. but we do get 5 points deducted this week for winning last week so it doesn’t appear likely that we will win again, but we go along for the fun anyway, winning is a bonus.
So day 25 tomorrow….. nearly finished now… don’t forget to check back then…. have a great day… xx
Normal service has resumed…… lol
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydHi everyone, normal service has resumed today, at least I think so…. managed to go shopping on my own, only wanted to buy some yummy bits for our church meeting tonight as our Pastors are away at Pastor’s Conference and they sometimes bring the yummy stuff, so just wanted to be organised…. and as usual I always spend way to much but never mind, at least no one will go hungry or without….. ha ha.
My little boy wants a netbook for Christmas, he has decided now for sure and we saw one in Sainsburys about 2 weeks ago, it was such a bargain that I told DH to buy it, but we didn’t as son couldn’t make up his mind, now the problem arises that this particular one was £129, about the same as the bike that my other son wants so was within budget, now they are out of stock there as they were selling them off and the next cheapest I can find is £189 which is way out of budget, so what to do now….. guess I will have to keep searching, maybe I will need to revisit the Sainsbury’s tomorrow to check it out, just incase….
And here we are at day 23, today we have another Patterned Paper…..
Hope you like it, the pattern isn’t too large so it should have quite a few uses…..
Tonight as I mentioned earlier is Church night, and is also the last week of the book we were doing The Purpose Driven Life….. I think everyone has enjoyed it, we intend to hand out forms for feedback and we will be starting a new book next week….. should be interesting….
Have a great day everyone, the sun came out here for a little while, so that was really nice…. take care xxx
Busy Day and Day 22 Freebie…
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydPhew, have I been busy looking after my 2 year old grandson today with no distraction of a toddler group….. he fell asleep this morning so I laid him down, covered him up and retreated to my room with a cup of coffee and he woke up less than 30 minutes later….. bah!!! So today we have watched (read that as I have watched) Ice Age 2, Cloudy with Meatballs and the one that he actually watched was Kung Fu Panda….. and he fell asleep again 10 minutes before the school run…… hopefully he will sleep well tonight. His brother went to hospital today for his operation, he was first down this afternoon and is now sitting up pressing buttons on his bed and I have just spoken to him on the phone…. he has to have his obs taken in an hours time but hopefully after that they will be allowed home….. unfortunately it takes over 2 hours to get home from London to here so looks like little grandson will be coming to cubs with us this evening….. lol.
My son’s assembly for today was cancelled and rescheduled for 1st December, so have that to look forward to. Son of 15 has Friday off school for inset day, then all three of them possibly have the following Wednesday off as the teachers are going on strike…… the weeks are just passing waaaaaay to quickly…..
Freebie day 22 today, you can download the freebie from here….. todays is a autumnal frame…..
Have any of you checked out the Amazon Black Friday bargains this week, some of them are totally rubbish but I managed to pick up an x box game for my son for Christmas last night at a bargain price of £10.50….. so I was really pleased with that. Thats about it for today, have a great evening, take care. xx
Day 21 and the freebie giveaway and full steam ahead…..
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydYes, my grandson’s operation is going ahead tomorrow which is good news, after 3 years of backwards and forwards, bounced from one hospital to the next this will hopefully solve all his problems, and being only 3 he should hopefully be sorted before he starts school, so fingers crossed and lots of prayers for tomorrow, also for my daughter and her husband who have to keep travelling to London and back for the endless appointments….. so tomorrow look out for the post, not sure when though as I will have grandson all day, hopefully when my boys get home from school they will keep him occupied for a while so I can get things done….. lol
I got my new Cameo Silhouette cutting machine Friday night but didn’t have time to get it out the box until Saturday night (didn’t really have time then but I wanted to cut something) and it cuts wonderfully, it cut the letters so neatly and all first time, I am sure me and it will get on wonderfully together, especially as I haven’t even started my Christmas Cards yet…… lol
Todays freebie is a ribbon, hope it will be useful to you all….
It should hopefully match the bow you got on day 16, so will look like the ribbon is tied in a bow if you would like that look…. I am desperately looking forward to designing at the moment, every time I go to bed ideas rush around inside my head, but I have not had the time, hopefully it will be soon….
My little boy who is 8 (nearly 9) is having a Class Assembly tomorrow afternoon, all parents are invited to go along and watch and see what they have been working on for the present term, so I am looking forward to that, I just hope my 2 year old grandson sits still for long enough…. I imagine he will sit there calling my sons name throughout….. ho hum!!
Don’t forget if you have missed any of the freebies, just click on the date you have missed on the calendar on the right hand sidebar and you can still download from each blog post…… I will be removing all the links 48 hours after day 30′s post so make sure you check back and download each day….. see you all tomorrow..xx
Sorry its late…. todays freebie
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydHi everyone, sorry todays freebie is late but I have been out all day, I went to visit my daughter who moved into her new house about a month ago and we took pizzas and coca cola and had lunch there, and watched the football in HD…. lol.
Todays freebie is here… it is a journalling strip so you can add journalling to your layouts, hope you like it…
The boys enjoyed their sleepover at the museum and I had a look around whilst waiting for them this morning… very interesting and even at my age I like playing with the interactive stuff….. lol
Hope to see you all tomorrow, I am having my grandson for the day whilst his brother goes to hospital for his pre-op appointment so not sure when I will get on, it will either be very early or late… lol
Take care..
Saturday’s Freebie
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydAnd that is about it, I have spent 5 hours tidying my boys bedroom, me, hubby and the 2 boys and it has still taken us 5 hours, have lots of stuff to give to the grandsons (who knows where daughter is going to put it) but now it is tidy, shiny, sparkly…. but for how long nobody knows….
Anyway, they are off to sleep in a museum tonight…. hope it isn’t like Night in the Museum…. lol.
Todays freebie is the plain paper for the kit, I think I gave the cream one much earlier in the giveaway, so today are the other 4 colours….
See you all tomorrow with another freebie giveaway…. have a great Saturday, take care xx
The freebie giveaway will soon be over and it will be Christmas….
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydHow frightening is that, the weeks are rushing by, I cannot believe how fast this week has gone and I am expecting next week to go just as fast as my grandson is going into hospital for an operation on Tuesday in London, he has to go there Monday too for a pre-op appointment and I will be looking after my younger grandson on those two days, he is only 2 and into everything….. lol.
I am getting there slowly with Christmas Presents, I got another one ordered today and have a few more to do over the weekend, plus my new Silhouette Cameo should be arriving today, but no sign so far, and the tracking number isn’t working so we shall see……
Todays freebie is some word art, couldn’t think of any real exciting Autumn words so hope this is okay….
Tomorrow we are going to be cleaning out my 8 and 10 year olds bedroom, they will definitely be helping but we need to have a big sort out before Christmas…… my 10 year old is always making models with paper and he has made a space shuttle the size of himself, I just don’t know what to do with all this stuff, I think I may hang it from the ceiling. They also have hundreds of pounds worth of Thomas The Tank Engine train set pieces, track, trains, stations, bridges, just about everything really and I think they are a bit old for it now so will pass it down to the grandsons, they should get loads of enjoyment from it….. need to get hold of some large cardboard boxes now.
Last night was pub quiz night and we eventually won…. I say eventually because twice the team marking our paper marked us down, first time by 4 points and the second time by 10 points….. and they are the team who complain strongly if anyone else gets their marking wrong….. and once the scores were re-done we came out on top….. we were really surprised as we thought we might have come second so really pleased with that result….
Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for Day 19 freebie, have a great weekend and take care of yourselves….
Today’s Freebie is quite apt…..
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydIf you look around you all the trees are losing their leaves and so today’s little bare tree is pretty realistic of what it is like outside… I hope you like it, if you download, please leave me a comment as to whether you are liking the kit or not….
If you don’t want the bare tree you can always size down some of the leaves that were giveaways last week and hang them from the branches…. lol. Has anyone made anything from this kit yet? If so I would love to see your work….
Today I am going to make some cards, I have some birthday ones that need doing, it is my little boy’s 9th birthday next week, guess I had better sort out his present too otherwise he won’t be getting anything… at least I know what he wants. I also have an awesome idea for a card from him, I have already downloaded some of the files from Silhouette, just need to cut out and put together…. I also think I have the exact right Echo Park paper to use…. don’t you just love that Echo Park ‘do digital’…..
Had an awesome time in church last night, everyone had to give their testimonies and as no one knew they were going to have to do it and couldn’t arrange it in advance it was brilliant….. very moving.
Anyway, daughter will be here to pick me up in a minute…. see you all tomorrow, take care xx
All but the last freebie made and uploaded… RESULT
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydYes you will be pleased to know that there really will be one freebie a day for the whole month of November as all but the last one are made and uploaded so I can now move on to something else…. I am really pleased with the kit and I think it will be awesome when altogether, so do keep checking back here every day until 30 November.
Todays you can find here…. it is a bow and I have used it for several things already…. probably one of the neatest bows I have ever tied too…. lol
I have had my eye on the Cameo Silhouette for about 6 weeks or more and was very tempted to go to the NECC in Birmingham a few weeks ago just to see one (not to buy one of course… lol), but I wasn’t sure how much different it would be to my normal size silhouette which I tend to use for all my cutting now. It sat in the cupboard for about 3 years, then last Christmas I won a $25 download card for their store and so dug out the silhouette again so I could download the designs and cut them, and it has been my favourite since, the only thing that bothers me is that it doesn’t quite cut out the thickness of card I use and if I do 2 cuts it never lines up properly, so I have to stick to bigger designs which are easier to finish cutting out. Some friends have recently bought the cameo and they say it cuts much thicker card aswell as being a proper 12″ cut and so that sold it for me. About 3 weeks ago whilst in Tesco buying my boys some cards for Christmas to give to their friends I saw some Christmas Cards that I wanted to make. They were black and gold…. gold glitter card with a black overlay of christmas ornaments, Merry Christmas and snowflakes and I thought they would be easy to make on my silhouette, but then reality sunk in and I realised that my machine would not cut my black card as nicely as that and it would take lots of time to finish the cutting out. When I heard about the cameo the other day I realised it would be so easy to make these cards….. unfortunately DH wasn’t so impressed with my idea and despite very big, you cannot ignore these, hints he thinks I should wait until Christmas for it…. even when I photoshopped this picture this morning and sent it to him via email, he chose to ignore it and hasn’t even mentioned the picture….
So I guess I will have to wait or sell some of my stuff to buy it now…… If any of you have anything to say about the machine either good or bad please leave me a comment…. thank you.
Don’t forget to call back tomorrow for another freebie giveaway… take care everyone…
Exactly halfway through and I have been working on finishing the rest of the freebies….
Posted in Kits by Linda LloydYep, I am working hard at finishing the freebies and there is some good stuff to come that I have spent ages on, I have 6 more things to complete and then it will be done and I can start working on my Christmas Cards and Kits….. has anyone actually finished all their Christmas Stuff yet? If you have a big congratulations on being so organised… the tumble dryer has broken today so instead of ordering more Christmas presents tonight DH is going to have to look at the tumble dryer…. think it is the dog hair that has done it though….
Last night everything went by the wayside too as we snuck off out to the cinema to watch The Awakening, now I knew it was scary but it wasn’t as scary as I had thought, infact I really enjoyed it, it was a Victorian Ghost Story…..
As for today’s freebie, it is here, another patterned paper for your collection, but there is still more to come, just trying to space it out with the elements…..
I don’t think any set is complete without some stripy paper….. a must have for me…. hope you like it. Will be back tomorrow with another freebie, although it is all done and packaged I cannot remember what it is off the top of my head, so you will have to wait and see…..
Have a great day, the sun is out here although it is still cold….
Take Care
